We'll be back to normal next week, methinks. In the meantime, lots of interesting stories this week from around the world. Consider this your Amazing Race-style document dump and Happy Friday:
- The latest phase in Germany's atomic energy debate is going to be mighty interesting.
- Meanwhile as some of you have probably seen elsewhere, the German military thinks we'll be hitting 'Peak Oil' sooner than expected. Didn't see that coming.
- Interesting suggestions by Scotland's first minister to make the country a "hydro-economy." I like the sounds of it.
- Finally, China is breaking WTO rules to subsidize its clean energy industries. Even though I oppose lawbreaking in general, it's hard to get worked up about something like that, at least for me. Maybe instead of complaining, the USG and American industry should commit to a serious energy policy. Just a thought.
